Talking Talking Talk... I
just wonder about the artist who read the script to this thing and
said, "It's nothing but talking! How do I draw this." Pretty imaginative
solutions, given the bullshit.
good midwestern boy thanks
for posting this... personally, if this is hysteria, i'm hysterical -
and really glad that you put this out into the public eye.
Speakin' the truth here Great
bullshit comic! I hope anyone here who views this as a positive comic
for their anti-whatever message realizes that public schooling is a
'socialist' message. So is public protection (police). As is a protected
food source. My only hope is that they cuss at every lightened
streetlight as "bah, socialism!" and clean water, "bah!" etc. Anyone
here saying "thanks for this comic!" realizes that we already live in a
positive socialist society. But whatever, it's a society governed by a
black guy, has to be the argument. To anyone upset about that, please
destroy your gas and electric connections, smash in your public
television sets, teach your kids, and rip out your plumbing.
Sarcasm In A Jar I
know that I, for one, am terrified of what it means for this once-proud
nation that if my home ever catches fire, a bunch of filthy communist
tax-supported so-called "firefighters" will endanger their lives to save
all my stuff.
Don't even get me started on all
that disgusting free healthcare that veterans get, just because they've
"served their country" or whatever. Ugh. Why don't we just
break out the hammers and sickles now and quit lying to ourselves?
Oh
wait, that's right! SOME things are okay for the government to
provide, but some aren't, and wherever you, personally, decide the line
is, that's dirty dirty socialism. Awesome! I think I've got
it straight now.
jon an
excellent read. filthy, uneducated lefties and turncoat republicans
might disagree, but that's their problem. most arguments, like the one
"speakin' the truth" shares, have been discredited long ago. rothbard
wrote perhaps 15 years ago on the twin fallacies of asceticism and
indulgence with which statists "tempt" libertarians. but, like i said.
the uneducated and the turncoat. you're either ignorant, or you're
evil.
this comic reminds me of "the road to serfdom." readers would do well to look it up.
Simone, Atlanta GA Mmmm, how did I know this was going to be a "I really don't know what the hell I'm talking about" box?
I don't really have a view on things either way, so.
Why can't people just be glad they live in a country with more freedoms than most?
I can't really say I'm a patriot, just that I should remember these things.
Austin Blue As
propaganda goes, this is pretty lame. It mostly reminds me the
straw-villains Ayn Rand sets up in her books; the bad guys say they want
equal outcomes, not equal opportunity. No one actually knows
anyone who thinks that's a good idea, but it's so
scary because it's unreasonable.
The bad guys here are just looking for personal power, there's
no real ideology involved. In today's terms, they act more like
Republicans than leftists: Tell the fools what they want to hear but the
money and power goes to those who don't question that most of the money
and power goes to those who already have most of the money and power.
Anyone really worried by "AMERICA UNDER SOCIALISM" should stop watching FoxNews until they get a grip.
Austin Blue Thanks,
SS, that's exactly my point, "Obama's America." How many times a
day do you hear that from your talking heads? Still, It's got to
be better than George Bush's America, except for the wrecked economy he
left behind.
Since you use the name Soros, I guess you must be making
millions a year. You'd have to be to still be doing well in the GB
economy; everyone else is getting scraps. Tell me, who are you
going to look down on when the middle-class is gone? You won't
even be able to see that far down.
Reminds me of a story by Heinlein. In his future America, the
rich went from compound to compound in heavily- armoured cars, everyone
else was expendable and easily replaced. Hmmm, War Lord America;
not much opportunity there I'll bet.
Just saying, as a free country, we have a lot more to fear
from the right than the left. Have you noticed the Supreme Court
lately?
Come on, folks, let's get behind public financing of federal
and state-wide campaigns and outlaw all gifts to government employees.
