COMICS WITH PROBLEMS (Issue #61 December 2013) Here's a serious one for you! Here's a set of three language-versions (English, Serbian Cyrillic and Albanian) of Superman "DEADLY LEGACY" which dealt with landmines in a post-war Bosnia. Included as well is the original Unicef press release describing the effort. For comparitive purposes, we're presenting all three versions side by side. A bit annoyed with DC for including a dog getting blown up into this narrative. Strangely more depressing than the blown up child narrative. Both might be considered triggering, however. |
Here's the full-set of comics. Note that the English version is from 1996, we're including the other editions from a 2000 update, indicating changes in Superman's xray vision (now focused directly on the landmine), numerous different panels, variety of sound-effects, and very different back covers.
