You are reading: "RADIATION AND MAN" (1972, Canadian Nuclear Association)
Pro-nuclear comic book from 1972, Canada - Interesting (aside from cool content) in that the comic predates Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' The Watchmen by fourteen years and features a prominent Doctor Manhattan on the cover. Information from this link states:
"Produced by The Canadian Nuclear Association and given away by the local Hydro-Electric company. Discusses what nuclear radiation is and how it affects humans, plants and animals. Radiation poisoning and alternatively it's uses in medicine are shown, the anatomy of an atom, Albert Einstein, fission, the nuclear industry and why it is safe, the positive effects of radiation on the growing of vegetables etc., etc. A two-page centerfold discusses how the nuclear industry is helping to protect Canadians. Also noted is that fresh milk in Southern Canada is tested regularly for Strontium 90 and Cesium 137."
